I had the chance to visit Fredericksburg, Texas recently and while I could write all about the amazing wineries (which there are tons!) I’m here to tell you about this gem of a place that MUST be on your list when you visit.
This was my second trip to Fredericksburg and on this trip I learned that before it was Texas Wine Country Fredericksburg was well known for their peaches!
The incredibly Instagram-worthy Das Peach Haus has been in business since 1976. It was originally a ware house by the train tracks for Lone Star Beer dating back to 1913! Now this amazing spot serves as a winery, shop, cooking school, and even a wedding venue!
My group spent a large majority of our time trying all the different jam and salsa samples, and yes we did buy a lot! Then we explored the grounds a little and it was so peaceful and beautiful.
Once you walk out of the shop there is a small pond with a deck to sit and enjoy the view. Looking out past the pond there are rows and rows of peach trees!
I highly recommend making a point to stop at this amazing spot! Enjoy a glass of wine, yummy foods, and take in the beautiful surroundings! You will not want to leave!
*Peach picking season is mid May through August. However, Das Peach Haus does not allow peach picking. There are other locations in Fredericksburg that do!
